Universal Search

This feature allows users to search all supporting Maintenance and/or Transactional database tables for an exact word or phrase that might be contained in a field within these tables. It does not search for row ID's in all tables and does not search system tables (i.e. dxmod, dxuser).

Universal Search form

Field/Flag	Description
Search	Executes the search function.
Search For	The string entered in this field is what the system will search for.
Search Maintenance Tables	Tells the system to search for the "Search For" text in maintenance tables, which store master data records. Examples include the Customers, Vendors, and Item Master tables.
Search Transactional Tables	Tells the system to search for the "Search For" text in the transactional tables, which store transactions and postings. Examples include General Ledger Transactions, Inventory Transactions, Job Time Entries, and Quality Control Results.
