User Modifications

The User Modifications pre-filter is used to search for information about "who did what" within Deacom. User Modifications displays updates to existing records and not newly created records.

User Modifications pre-filter

Field/Button

Description

Report Type

Pick list used to choose the desired kind of report that will generate. Options are:

  • Deletions - Displays a record of each deletion, including the user responsible, the date of deletion, and the data that was removed. Added in version 17.03.010.
  • Modifications - Displays the old and new value for modifications made to fields by users (e.g. changing a unit weight).
  • Reports - Displays actions taken while the user was working with a grid or report (e.g. "Exported to Excel" or "Previewed Report").

Start Date

Filters for results that have the date selected through the End Date, or with no End Date if that field is left blank.

End Date

Filters for results that have the Start Date through the date selected, or with no Start Date if that field is left blank.

User

Search field used to select a User to narrow the results. If selected, the report will display only actions performed by this User.

Table

Pick list used to select a data table to narrow the results. If selected, the report will display only actions that impacted this table. For example, to see modifications made to the table that stores Purchase Order header information, select "dttpur".

Time

The time the modification occurred.

User

The User who performed the modification.

The table which the modified Field belongs to.

Field

The field that was modified.

Field Description

The description of the Field.

Old Value

The Field's value before modification.

New Value

The Field's value after modification.

Old Memo

Notes from before modification.

New Memo

Notes from after modification.

Record

The number of the record that was modified.

View Grid History report

Opened via selecting a "Report Type" of "Reports" and clicking "View" on the User Modifications pre-filter.

Time

The time the Action occurred.

User

The User who performed the Action.

Report

The form on which the Action occurred.

Action

What the User did while accessing the Report.

Records

The number of data records that were contained in the Report.

Filters

Filters the User had in place when accessing the Report.
