MES/APS Setup - Customer
Deacom can integrate with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) systems.
MES provides information that helps manufacturing decision-makers understand how current conditions on the plant floor can be optimized to improve production output. MES works as real-time monitoring system to enable the control of multiple elements of the production process (e.g. inputs, personnel, machines and support services).
APS is used to optimize production planning and scheduling based on available resources and customer demands.
The integration engine handles mapping of Deacom API information to the MES/APS API, and vice versa.
Credentials
Once customers purchase the necessary Deacom license to use the MES/APS API, they will contact ECI-Deacom Support.
Notes:
- For the MES/APS API, Deacom does not supply the customer with credentials, rather the credentials are sent to Lynq.
- Credentials for the MES/APS API do not count as another licensed user in the Deacom application.
Setup
The following process will then occur to perform the necessary setup steps:
For On Prem Customers:
Deacom team members will:
- Supply the Import Tool and credentials to the customer to allow them to run the import.
- Supply the second set of credentials to the customer to use with the authentication call.
