Allows users to download EMV parameters to the appropriate pin pad device.

Print To

Pick list used to define the default value for printing in the current Deacom session only. Options include:

  • Email
  • PDF
  • Printer
  • Screen
  • Variable Display

Printer

Pick list used to select the printer for the current Deacom session when selecting a "Print To" value of "Printer."

  • Once a user logs out, the system will not retain the setting in this field unless the "Retain Printer Setting After Logout" flag is checked on the User's record.
  • When running on Windows 10 PCs, the Microsoft Print To PDF printer is now the preferred printer, when available, instead of the Deacom PDF Converter. Users will not need to make any changes. The system will check to see if the Microsoft Print To PDF printer is available when users attempt to print to PDF or email in Deacom.

Note: Beginning in version 17.02, and when printing to PDF, the system will select the PDF printer based on the below list, ordered by priority, with #1 being the top priority. Note that the names need to match exactly as indicated below as the application will look for the printer by name.

  • Microsoft Print to PDF
  • Deacom PDF Convertor 4
  • Deacom PDF Converter
  • Acrobat PDFWriter
  • Adobe PDF

Register

If applicable, select the Register that will be used for this system.

Scales

If applicable, select the Scale that will be used for this system.

Scaling Size

Dropdown menu where users can have the system scale the size of fonts in the Deacom application based on the current monitors screen:

  • Width
  • Height
  • Maximum

The default setting is "Width" in which case the system scales the fonts size based on the users screen width resolution setting. The option to change the scaling is helpful when users need to better adjust the screen in order to improve font size/rendering for Deacom top menu options and pre-filters more clearly, including monitors with 4x3 aspect ration. Example - If your current browser dimension/screen resolution is 1920 x 1280, and this field is set to "Height", the application will use this (1280, or 12.8) in order to perform the scaling calculations. If you choose to set this field to "Maximum", the system will perform both height and width calculations using the highest values returned.

Pin Pad Com Port

If using pin pad devices, defines the port for the selected device.

Listener Port

Identifies the listener port number for the Data Cap/EMV credit card process.

  • On change of listener port number, Deacom Local will restart the Listener with the new listener port (this is required because the system needs to get the secure devices from the listener). The same is true if a default Data Cap credit card processor is changed (has to be saved first, not on change like listener port).

Secure Device

Pick list used to identify the pin pad device(s) setup in the system for DataCap/EMV credit card processing.

  • Once the appropriate devices have been installed, they will appear in the pick list for this field.
  • There is no maintenance table in Deacom for these devices.

Terminal ID

C.C. Processor

Defines the Credit Card Processor that will be used in the system.

Culture

Language

Theme

Dropdown menu where users can set their theme preference and the app will use that theme each time they log in. Options are:

  • Default
  • Dark - Buttons are light text on a gray background. On hover, background gets darker.
  • Light - Buttons are dark text on a gray background. On hover, background gets lighter.

Security Questions tab

The security questions on this tab represent the security questions that have been set by the user. Users with access to File > Settings may modify their security answers via this form. Security questions are one of three authentication methods available in Deacom.

Print Destinations tab

Allows Print Destinations to be defined on a user by user basis and supports scenarios where printing multiple documents on different printers. The "Allow User Override" field on the Edit Print Destination form must be checked in order for the Print Destination to be displayed on this tab.
