Main Menu

The Main Menu of Deacom features a Windows-like navigation menu on the left side of the form. The top right section of the form contains a favorites menu, (which displays Favorites, most recently used and most frequently used transactions or forms), a user menu, and a button to control the size of the interface. The navigation menu on the left side of the form is the starting place for all transactions within the system.

Notes: 1. Prior to version 16, the Main Menu of Deacom featured a Windows-like navigation menu at the top of the form for web based versions and on the left hand side of the form for classic versions. 2. The options housed in the File menu prior to version 16 have been moved to the user menu.

The navigation menu is displayed on the left side of the Main Menu form. Hovering over this menu will display the name of each menu option. Click once on an option to display the sub-menu and then click on the desired option in the list. If an option in the list contains a subsequent sub-menu, then hovering over that option will cause that menu to be displayed.

All menus and sub-menus are structured the same to make it easier to find what you are looking for. The order entry and order reporting functions are at the top of the sub-menu followed by additional items that are listed in order of decreasing use. The maintenance sections are at the bottom.

Deacom does not have a Reporting menu option. Rather, the “reporting” areas of Deacom (e.g. Sales > Order Reporting, Purchasing > Order Reporting, Production > Job Reporting, etc.) are where reports are generated. The reporting pre-filters are used to generate reports using detailed selection criteria, and the lines on the reports can be drilled into to view and modify the details of transactions.

Notes: 1. Bills Of Material is located in the Inventory menu, not the Production menu. 2. The "Home" option, located at the top of the menu, is used to view previews, news, BI Pages, and to send and receive messages.

Pendo Resource Center

Users have the option to display the Pendo Resource Center in a popup by clicking on the information "I" icon on the top right menu next to the Zoom Control Button. A notification badge (with the appropriate notifications count) will be displayed atop the Pendo Resource Center if there are unread notifications.

Zoom Control Button

Users have the option to control the size of the user interface, including font size, via the use of the zoom button on the main menu. Located on the top right of the Main Menu, next to the Favorites icon, the button allows uses to select a small, regular, or large user interface. Regular is set by default. The setting is saved in a browser cookie.

Favorites Menu

Favorites are shortcuts to reports or transactions within Deacom that are accessible by clicking the Favorites menu, represented by a 'star' icon, on the top right of the Main Menu. For information on how to add or modify Favorites, refer to Managing User Favorites and Previews.

Most Recently Used

This section of Deacom displays the last six forms the user has opened. Double-clicking on a form listed here opens it. This list is available within the Favorites menu option starting with version 16.

User Menu

Hovering over the 'person' icon on the upper right of the Deacom screen displays the First and Last Name of the user currently logged in, as defined on their User profile. Clicking the User icon displays the user menu:

Settings - Manage your system wide defaults for printers, scales and terminal IDs.
Close All Forms - Close all open forms and transactions in one click.
Log Out - Log the current user out and open the Deacom Login form.
View Active Users - Display a list of all active users.
Change Password - Change the password for the currently logged in user.

Email Settings - Manage your the MS Outlook email username and email password for the Deacom user currently logged into the system.
Local - Connect Deacom web-supported local hardware including local printers, scales, and EMV card readers.
Help - Access the online Deacom Help site.
