CRM Options

As noted below, user-defined captions have been removed from System Options. Instead, all forms, grids, reports, etc. are now designed to use Captions with Language overrides. As part of this change, the CRM tab has been removed completely. The user-defined fields are managed via Captions and Language overrides and the "Available For" field has been renamed "CRM Available For" and moved to the Security tab.

Description

Default CRM Bill-To

Search field used to select a specific Bill-to Company. Set the default Bill-To if its not first populated (coming from Bill-To forms), and where a record doesn't already exist.

Default CRM Ship-To

Search field used to select a specific Ship-to Company. Set the default Ship-To if its not first populated (coming from Ship-To forms), and where a record doesn't already exist.

CRM Available For

Pick list used to set the default value for the field of the same name on the General tab of Contact records, which determines which Users may access and utilize the selected Contact record. Options are:

  • All Users - The selected record is available for all Users.
  • CRM Group - The selected record is available for any User that is a part of the CRM Group specified on the Contact record.
  • Myself - The selected record is available for only the User who created it.

Company RSS

Defines the company website to be used for gathering RSS feed information, which is displayed in the main Deacom menu.

RSS Days To Keep

Defines the number of days worth of RSS feeds to retain.

Monitor User Correspondence By Default

If checked, the "Monitor Email Correspondence" flag on the Edit User form will be checked by default when creating new Users.

Monitor CRM Correspondence By Default

If checked, the "Monitor Email" field on the Edit Contact People form will be set by default when creating new Contacts.

Use Outlook Desktop For Email

If checked, when Deacom Local is running (Windows only) emails are opened using the Outlook desktop application rather than within Deacom.

If Deacom Local is not running, the email will open within Deacom, regardless of whether this flag is checked.

This field sets the default for when new users are created.
